The short version
This is a personal website. It has no forms, no accounts, no adverts and no tracking, and it doesn't set cookies. The only personal information involved is the basic technical data every website receives, and anything you choose to send me by email.
Who I am
This website belongs to Mohammad Haseeb Iqbal, who is responsible for any personal information it handles. You can contact me at mohammad.haseeb.iqbal [at] outlook.com.
What's collected and why
- Server logs. When you visit, the site's host, IONOS, automatically records technical details such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested, the page that linked you here, and the date and time. These logs keep the site secure and working, and I use IONOS's statistics tool to see visitor numbers as totals. I rely on legitimate interests (running a secure website and understanding how it's used). IONOS keeps these logs for a limited period, as described in its own privacy policy.
- Emails you send me. If you email me, I receive your email address and whatever you write, and I use it only to reply and continue our conversation. I keep it as long as the conversation needs, as part of my normal email records.
- Fonts. The site's fonts are delivered by Bunny Fonts, which needs your IP address to send the font files to your browser. Bunny states that it doesn't log or store this information or use it for tracking.
Cookies
This site doesn't set any cookies or store anything on your device, which is why there's no cookie banner.
Who else handles your data
IONOS (hosting) and Bunny Fonts (font delivery) act as service providers for this site. I don't sell your information or share it with anyone else.
Links to other websites
The site links to LinkedIn, certificate issuers such as Scrum.org, Salesforce, Microsoft, Coursera, Credly and Udemy, and the charities I support. Once you follow a link, that website's own privacy policy applies.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete personal information I hold about you, or object to how it's used. Email me and I'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk (opens in a new tab).
Changes
If anything here changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
